CLARICE A. SCRUGGS, age 81 years, of Bel Air, Maryland died on Thursday, November 5, 2009 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, Maryland.

Born on February 4, 1928 in Kieffer, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late George Wesley and Flora Violet (Hayslett) Scruggs. Retiring after 30 years of service as a seamstress, she had worked for the former Gleneagles Sewing Company in Bel Air, Maryland. She was a 45 year member of the Evangelical Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday School. She enjoyed doing embroidery.

She is survived by:

A sister, Cora Lea Fritsch of Normangee, Texas

A brother, Howard Scruggs of Rupert, West Virginia

Numerous loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday evening, November 8, 2009 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, Pennsylvania.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, the 9th at 11 AM at the Evangelical Methodist Church, 1736 Whiteford Road, Street, Maryland with her pastor. Reverend Dr. John E. McKnight officiating.

Interment will be in Bel Air Memorial Gardens, Bel Air, Maryland.
