April 2, 1945 – December 23, 2013
Cynthia Whiteford Tutalo of Whiteford, MD, died December 23rd after a 13 month illness. She was 68 years old. Born April 2nd 1945, in Baltimore, MD, she was the only daughter of the late Winfield Scott Whiteford and Opal Linkous Whiteford Blair. She was married to Peter Salvatore Tutalo on April 22nd 1967.
She graduated from West Nottingham Academy in Colora, PA. In 1974, she earned a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Berkeley College of Music in Boston. Cindy taught music at Hyman Fine Elementary School in Attleboro, MA for seven years and later started a music entertainment business named "Music by Cynthia" with her husband Peter.
Music was a very important part of Cindy's life. She loved being a part of the worship team at New Covenant Community Church and teaching Sunday School. She and her husband Peter recently completed a musical, "Memoirs of Anne", that is presently in the hands of a producer in New York.
She spent most of her life in New England after attending college in Boston, eventually settling down in Cranston RI. After 20 years in Rhode Island, she moved back to Maryland to become President/Owner of Whiteford Packing Company.
Foremost in Cindy's life was the love that she had for her Savior, Jesus Christ. Her faith in Jesus shined through even in the darkest hour. She touched so many on her journey home displaying her selfless nature right up to her final moments on this earth.
Cindy is survived by her husband, Peter Salvatore Tutalo; a daughter, Marianne Scott Adams and her husband, Coury of Franklin, Tenn.; a son, Michael Peter Tutalo and his wife, Allison of Hampstead, Md.; and four grandchildren.
A celebration of her life will be held at the New Covenant Community Church, 284 Slab Road, Delta PA 17314.

Visiting Hours - 4 PM – 8 PM
Saturday, December 28th
Visiting Time 10 AM – 11 AM with the Celebration of Life Service beginning at 11 AM.
Interment to follow at Slateville Cemetery, 308 Slateville Rd in Delta, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to New Covenant Community Church, at the above address.
