DAVID CARLISLE HASH, 75 of Abbottstown, PA, died in his home on Friday, June 16, 2023. Born on December 18, 1947 in Havre de Grace, MD, he was a son of the late James G. "Bill" Hash and Romaine Lucille (McBride) Hash and a 1967 graduate of Kennard Dale High School in Fawn Grove, PA.
Following graduation, David was drafted and served with the United States Navy during the Vietnam War from May 1968 to January 1970. He had worked for his family's garage in New Park, for Roland Morris' garage in Fawn Grove as well as driving their fuel oil delivery truck. He later was a long distance truck driver for various companies.
David loved his family, enjoyed watching NASCAR, giving brotherly advice and guidance, was known to stop at country markets and roadside stands. He especially enjoyed going to Olde Tyme Days in Fawn Grove. His family commented that he was always telling trucking stories, had a great sense of humor and will miss him giving or trying to give directions.

Hannah Hash-Zinn (Shelden Gover) of Red Lion, PA
Ashlie Hash-Zinn (Izaac Dietz) of Abbottstown, PA
Kolby Hash of New Park, PA
Kaleb Hash of Shrewsbury, PA
Three great grandchildren-Bryson and Bentley Gover; Dallas Hash
Also will be missed by many extended family members.
David was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Gardner Hash; brother, Grayson Hash and sister, Judith Lindsay.
Services will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023 at Centre Presbyterian Church, 83 New Park Road, New Park, PA with a visitation from 10:30 – 1:30 p.m. followed by a luncheon in the church social hall. Guests are invited to gather in the hall while the family holds a private interment in the adjoining church cemetery. The York County Veterans Honor Guard will present military honors. The Patriot Guard Riders will lead the procession from the church to the gravesite.

10:30 am - 1:30 pm
Guests are invited to gather in the hall while the family holds a private interment in the adjoining church cemetery. A luncheon will be offered as well as a time to share memories catered by Delta Pizza, Sal Ferranti.
