DAVID THURMAN COX, age 29 years of Red Lion, PA died on Monday, June 8, 2015.

David was born on October 31, 1985 in Havre de Grace, MD, a son of Kathy Lynn (Brown) Burkentine of Aberdeen, MD.

David served in the U.S. Army National Guard and assisted in the post Hurricane Katrina recovery operations. Following his military service, he worked as a laborer in the construction field. David was known as the "life of the party" spreading joy to all he met.

His stepfather who raised him, Samuel R. Burkentine, Sr., of Elkton, MD.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Victorious Faith Fellowship, 106 Rockspring Church Road, Forest Hill, MD 21050. Pastor Michael Baker will officiate.

There will not be any public inurnment service.
