DAVID GARY VEIT, age 54 years of Delta, Pennsylvania died at 7:39 a.m. on Monday, October 19, 2009 in Windsor Township, York County from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was the husband of Phyllis M. (Gaisior) Veit. They observed their 32nd. wedding anniversary on July 8, 2009.

David was born in Baltimore, Maryland on February 15, 1955 a son of Evelyn I. (Baker) Veit of Fawn Grove, Pennsylvania and the late Earl L. Veit, Sr. who died in 2003. He and his family moved to Delta from Baltimore in 1988 where he coached for the Delta Girls Softball League. He was currently employed as a machine operator but had previously worked as both a carpenter and a mason. He enjoyed fishing.

Two daughters: Rachael M. Veit of Delta

Amber N. Veit of Belcamp, Maryland

One sister: Diana D. Greene and her husband Gary of Fawn Grove

One brother: Earl L. Veit, Jr. of Delta

Five grandchildren: Sean McAfee, Elizabeth Watkins, Joshua Watkins, Ashley Watkins and Jeremiah Watkins

A viewing will be held on Thursday, October 22 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA.

Funeral services and interment will be private.
