Delores Dean Hurt, age 74 years of Delta, PA died on Friday, March 9 at her home. She was the wife of the late Claude Hurt who died in 2008.

Mrs. Hurt was born on March 23, 1937 in Oakvale, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Elbert and Iva (Thomas) Whitt. She enjoyed reading and loved to bake and cook for her family and friends.

She is survived by 3 children- Deborah Malpass of New Oxford, PA - Joe Hurt and his wife Tammy of Delta, PA and Jim Hurt and his wife Karen of Delta, PA.

6 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter

2 sisters- Mary Crook of Shady Springs, W. VA and Robina Perdue of Richmond, VA

1 brother- Freeman Whitt of Princeton, W. VA

Funeral service will be on Wednesday, March 14 at 11:00 AM at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main St., Delta, PA . Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 13 from 7-9 PM at the funeral home.

Interment in Union Chapel Cemetery, Delta, PA

Reverend James Shuler of Pine Grove Presbyterian Church will officiate.
