Dennis Smith, 79, of Fawn Grove, PA, died on Friday, July 23, 2021 at Pappas House in York, PA. Dennis was born in White Hall, MD, one of eleven children to the late John Lester Smith and Lythia Hayne Smith. He shared 32 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Linda Sue (Hodge) Smith, before her death on September 22, 2000.

Dennis attended North Harford High School. He worked for many years as a block mason, operating a family run business, D.S. Masonry with his sons. His family will always remember Dennis as a man who loved to tend his vegetable garden, bird watch and tinker with any kind of machinery. He was devoted to his family and loved spending precious time with his grandchildren. Dennis was strong in faith and is finally resting and free from pain with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Dennis is survived by daughter, Tammie Sue Houck, of Conowingo, MD, and sons; Steven David Smith, of Joppa, MD, Matthew Kevin Smith, of Fawn Grove, PA, Paul Dennis Smith, of Fawn Grove, PA. In addition to his children, Dennis is survived by five grandchildren, Mindy Houck, of Abingdon, MD, Rebecca Houck, of Delta, PA, Katie and Jake Smith, of Bel Air, MD and Cayla Smith, of Fawn Grove, PA. Dennis was preceded in death by his ten siblings.

All services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
