DENNIS E. THOMPSON, age 62 years of Delta, Pennsylvania, died on Monday, October 13, 2008 at 9:10 p.m. at York Hospital in York, Pennsylvania.

Dennis was born on February 10, 1946 in York; he was the son of Hazel (Draper) Thompson of Delta and the late Donald K. Thompson. Dennis graduated from Red Lion High School in 1964 and from Muskingham College in New Concord, Ohio in 1968. He worked for McCormick Foods for 18 years as a salesman while living in Charleston, South Carolina. He returned to Delta in the early 1990's. He enjoyed reading, politics and watching the Discovery and History channels. He was of the Presbyterian faith.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by:

A brother, Donald Dean Thompson and his wife, Cynthia of York, Pennsylvania.

Numerous loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 18 at 11:00 a.m. at the Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main St., Delta, PA.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 - 11 a.m.

Inurnment will be private.

Reverend Carletta R. Curley, pastor of the Slate Ridge and Slateville Presbyterian Churches will officiate.
