Obituary

Destiny Anna Jane Weitkamp, age 23 years, of Airville, PA, went to heaven on Sunday, May 4,

2025 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born on April 6, 2002 in York,

PA, a daughter of Ronald L Weitkamp Jr of Airville, and Melissa A. (Flaharty) Weitkamp of

Delta, PA.

When Destiny was in grade school at Clearview Elementary she ran cross country and ended up

breaking the school's time record which was then displayed in the main hallway for everyone to

see.

Destiny was a 2020 graduate of Red Lion Area Senior High School. Destiny graduated with

Academic Honors & National; Honor Society. While attending high school, Destiny worked at the

Rutter's store in Collinsville while also working at Best Buy in sales. She went on to become the

traveling supervisor for Sheetz in Hallam and attended and graduated from the Level Up Beauty

Academy in York and upon graduating accepted a position in Mechanicsburg, PA as an

esthetician.

Destiny loved to travel and said her mission was to travel the whole world. Places that Destiny

did get to visit were Belize, Thailand, Jordan, Bahamas, Costa Rica, Spain, France, U.K.,

Switzerland, Netherlands, Germany, Venice, Prague, Italy, Greece as well as a lot of places in

the U.S. including traveling all of Rt. 66 from Chicago to San Bernardino Ca.

The Redwood Forest, Salt Lake City and other places on the way back home to PA. She also had

trips already planned to Africa, Croatia, and Peru.

Destiny also loved nature and all animals. Especially our cats. She often said to call her the

crazy cat lady. She often talked about starting some kind of rescue for cats.

Her boyfriend, (future son-in-law) Logan Henise

Many friends, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins

Her maternal grandmother, Lucy Miller and her husband, George

Her maternal grandfather, Edward Flaharty

Her paternal grandmother, Patricia Weitkamp

She was preceded in death by,

Her paternal grandfather, Ronald Weitkamp, Sr.

Her step grandmother, Diane Flaharty

Her uncle, Eric Flaharty

The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to all who have offered prayers, words of

comfort, and thoughtful gestures which have brought solace and strength to their hearts. We

are especially thankful for the many acts of kindness that have eased the burden of their loss.

Destiny was an organ donor, and she was able to save 5 people lives and give sight back to at

least one person, so she will continue to live on in the lives of others.
