DONALD J. BOOKER, age 77 years, died on Thursday, February 2, 2012 in his home in Delta, PA. He was the husband of Georgianna E. Booker who died on December 16, 2000.

Born on June 29, 1934 in York, PA, he was a son of the late Edward and Lucy (Blaine) Booker. A 1954 graduate of Kennard Dale High School in Fawn Grove, Mr. Booker had served in the United States Army. He had worked as an Information Assistant for PECO and at the PX at the Aberdeen Proving Ground in Harford County, MD.

Mr. Booker was a member of Trinity A.M.E. Zion Church in Delta where had served as Trustee, Class Leader and sang in the Men of Trinity's Chorus. During his retirement, he transported Amish children to and from school bus stops. Mr. Booker was a member of the Mason-Dixon Lions Club.

Five grandchildren-Arika Croff, Tomika Gould, Devon Gould, Jamaal Boynes and Jonathan Boynes

A great grandchild-Marilanna Gould

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 6, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA and on Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Mt. Nebo U.M. Church, 962 Flintville Road, Delta, PA with the funeral service beginning at 11 a.m.

Interment in Trinity Zion Cemetery, Delta, PA
