DONALD GENE DOSS, age 72 years of Whiteford, MD died on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at the Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. He shared his life for the past 17 years with JoAnn (Caudill) Slade.

Mr. Doss was born on May 20, 1939 in Hillsboro, WV, a son of the late Marvin Clayton and Ruth Vernell (Cutlip) Doss. Mr. Doss was a trucker, and for 35 years owned and operated his own rig, mostly transporting groceries on long distance trips. For the past 16 years, he drove a dump truck for CTG, Inc. in Arbutus, MD. A tireless worker, he worked through his illness and treatments, his CTG dump truck proudly parked in the driveway. Last month his condition worsened and he was forced to give up driving.

An avid gardener, he took great pride in his many flower beds. Donald also enjoyed woodworking and was a huge Ravens fan.

Randy Slade and his wife, Laura of Bel Air, MD

Mark Slade of Whiteford, MD

One sister: Naomi Anders and her husband, Buddy of Whiteford, MD

One brother: Marvin Doss and his wife, Karen of Kiowa, CO

One grandson: Sean Kelly

Also survived by seven step grandchildren and five step great grandchildren.

One nephew: Brian Anders

Two nieces: Dawn Presell and Tammy Thomas
