DONALD F. LAIRD, age 72 years of Perryville, MD, died on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 in his home.

He was the husband of Carolyn (Cordrey) Laird, and they had shared 48 years of marriage.

Born on August 7, 1942 in Street, MD, he was a son of the late James K. and Hazel (Harkins) Laird and recently moved to Perryville from New Providence, PA. Retiring in 2011, Mr. Laird had worked 25 years at Rising Sun Middle School. He was a member of Emory United Methodist Church in Street, MD, and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Christina Long and her husband, Edward of Elkton, MD

Tammy Cox and her husband, Stephen of Temecula, CA

A brother, James Laird and his wife, Ellamae of Darlington, MD

Six grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. at Emory United Methodist Church, 911 Cherry Hill Road, Street, MD. Reverend Dr. Paul Benjamin will officiate.

His family will receive guests at the luncheon immediately following the service in the church social hall.
