Donald Davis Heaps, 72, of Street, MD, died on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. Donald was one of five brothers, born in Baltimore City, MD, to his late parents, Henry Wallace Heaps and Mary Harry Heaps.

Donald was a loving father and grandfather. He will be remembered as a soulful, creative spirit who had a beautiful way with words. He was a man of faith, who loved his heritage and was fond of nature. He was a fantastic cook and man, did he love to kick one back. He believed in and donated to various religious and humanitarian organizations.

Donald is survived by his daughter, Brittany Baron Heaps Moses and her husband, John Moses, and his granddaughter, Amailia Blue Moses, of Brooklyn, NY. He is also survived by his brother, Wilson Heaps, of Pylesville, MD.

In addition to his parents, Donald was predeceased by his brothers, Wallace Heaps, Jonathan Heaps and David Heaps.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 12:30 pm at Highland Presbyterian Church, 701 Highland Road, Street, MD. Reverend Dr. Harold Bennettt, II, of Grove Presbyterian Church will officiate. An inurnment will be held immediately following the service in the adjoining church cemetery.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Harkins Funeral Home, Inc., of Delta, PA.
