DONALD P. JOHNSON, age 95 years of Delta, Pennsylvania died on Monday, June 18, 2007 at York Hospital, York, Pennsylvania. He was the husband of the Edith (Robinson) Johnson who died in 2000.

Mr. Johnson was born on May 6, 1912 in Delta, Pennsylvania a son of the late Port and Eva (Ramsay) Johnson. He was the oldest living member of Slateville Presbyterian Church in Delta. Mr. Johnson worked for many years at Aberdeen Proving Ground in Harford County, Maryland, where he was a heavy equipment mechanic and boiler fireman. After he retired, he operated a small engine repair shop. In his younger years, he enjoyed boating and water skiing on the Susquehanna River with his family. He was raised on the family farm and started plowing fields with horses when he was 12 years old; in addition to doing most all of the farm chores.

He is survived by two sons-

D. Alan Johnson and Richard P. Johnson both of Delta, Pennsylvania

Two great-great grandchildren

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 21 at 11 AM at Slateville Presbyterian Church, 308 Slateville Road, Delta with Pastor Jack Craft officiating.

Friends may call at the church from 10-11 AM.

Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.
