Donald Lloyd Williams (Donnie) passed away at his home on November 13, 2025. He was born May 20, 1944, in Peach Bottom Township, the son of Edward E. Williams Sr. and Mary M. Lloyd Williams. He was the youngest of seven siblings.
Donnie was a chief operator at Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line for 33 years. He joined the Maryland National Guard in 1965 and completed basic training at Fort Benning, Georgia. He attended helicopter pilot flight training at Fort Rucker, Alabama, graduating as a Huey pilot and Warrant Officer in July 1970. He was honorably discharged from military service on August 22, 1974.
Donnie was very active in his community. He was a life member of the Delta-Cardiff Volunteer Fire Company, a proud 55 year member of the American legion Post 182, a Scout leader with Boy Scouts of America Cub Pack 803 and Troop 400 for many years, and little league coach. He was proud of his Welsh heritage and was a member of the Rehoboth Welsh Church in Delta and an associate member of Pine Grove Presbyterian Church. He served as Peach Bottom Township Republican Committeeman for several years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Sara (Sally); sons Michael, Richard (and wife Jenny), Brent (and wife Kim); and five grandchildren, Alex, Emma, Natalie, Elizabeth, and Dylan; a surviving sister, Evelyn Petre of Media, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Edward Jr., R. Lee, George, and sisters Jane Marie and Mary Ellen.
Services will be held on Wednesday, December 3rd, 2025 at the Rehoboth Welsh Church, 1029 Atom Road, Delta, PA 17314. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00 PM, with a celebration of life at 7:00 PM.
