Doris M. (Murray) Morales, of York, entered into eternal rest at her home on Sunday, June 7, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was 82 years old
Doris was the wife of the late Charles E. Wilson, who died on October 1, 1985, and the late Augustus Morales, who died on February 19, 2016. She was also the cherished companion of the late Howard D. Jackson, Sr., who died in February 2026.
Born in York on December 31, 1943, Doris was the daughter of the late Leroy Murray and Hazel Elizabeth (Jones) Murray.
Throughout her working years, Doris was employed as a welder.
Outside of work, she found joy in gardening and caring for her flowers. Her family was the center of her world, and she especially treasured the time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Doris enjoyed taking walks, going on long drives, and, in her younger years, spending time fishing along the river.
She is survived by her children, Howard D. Jackson, Jr. of York, Edward M. Murray of York, and Diane C. Jackson of York. She
also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as her siblings, Larry Murray of York, Daisy Buchannan of York, and Cynthia Buchannan-Wise of York.
In addition to her husbands and companion, Doris was preceded in death by her daughters, Wanda J. Jackson-Greene and Linda D. Murray; her brother, William I. Murray; and her sister, Diana J. Murray.
Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Wagner-Elfner and Harkins Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 600 Main Street, Delta, is assisting the family with arrangements.
