DOROTHEA E. HOPEWELL, age 86 years, died on Saturday, March 29, 2008 in her home in Fawn Grove, Pennsylvania. She was the wife of the late David R. Hopewell.

Mrs. Hopewell was born on September 23, 1921 in Loogootee, Indiana; a daughter of the late Jesse and Nettie (Hubbard) Lockhart. She had been living in Fawn Grove for the past seven years having moved from Woodbridge, Virginia. She was a member of the Fawn United Methodist Church in Fawn Grove, Pennsylvania. She was a homemaker, enjoying gardening, traveling and spending time with her loved ones.

She is survived by:

Three children-

Nancy Evans of Cary, North Carolina

Connie Cooper and her husband, William of Fawn Grove, Pennsylvania

Barbara Schneiter and her husband residing in England

Seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren

A sister, Lena Robles and a brother, Johnny Lockhart and his wife, Gloria, all of Grants Pass, Oregon

Numerous nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by 3 brothers and a sister.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 3rd from 1 to 3 PM at Fawn United Methodist Church, 67 S. Market St., Fawn Grove, Pennsylvania.

Funeral services will follow at 3 PM in the church with her minister, Pastor Jane Harrison presiding.

Interment will be Quantico National Cemetery, Triangle, Virginia
