DOROTHY L. FIELDS, age 85 years of Delta, Pennsylvania, died on Friday, December 17, 2010 in the Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. She was the wife of Raymond E. Fields with whom she had shared thirty-six years of marriage.

Born on August 26, 1925 in Delta, Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of the late Delmar and Elsie (Wright) Burkins. Mrs. Fields had spent most of her lifetime living in Delta and had been employed by the former Whiteford Packing Company. She was a member of the Evangelical Methodist Church in Dublin, Maryland and attended the Delta Senior Center. A homemaker, she enjoyed bingo, playing cards, puzzles and walking.

Thomas Grafton and his wife, Mary Jo of Jarrettsville, Maryland

William Grafton of Edgewood, Maryland

Catherine Dolly and her husband, Terry of Felton, Pennsylvania

A brother, Marshall Burkins and his wife, Elsie of Delta, Pennsylvania

Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren

She was preceded in death by two sons, David Grafton and William Grafton

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, Pennsylvania.

Interment will be in Bel Air Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 21st from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be James Hodge, Michael Van Hart, Timothy Grafton, David Grafton, Terry Dolly, Jr. and Walter Van Hart, Jr.

Honorary Pallbearer will be Brandon Gray.
