Obituary

DOROTHY I. MORRIS, 93 of Airville, PA, died on Saturday, New Year's Day 2022 in her home. Born on November 15, 1928 in the Airville area of Lower Chanceford Township, she was the only child of the late Thomas P. and Emma I. (Smith) Morris.

A lifetime resident of York County, Dorothy was a longtime member of McKendree United Methodist Church where she was a part time pianist and organist. Dorothy was employed with the Aberdeen Proving Ground for nearly 40 years as a secretary to a Division Chief. Dorothy volunteered with the Collinsville Library and was a member of the Friends Group. She loved to travel in the United States as well as internationally. Dorothy loved to share stories of her trips as well as her knowledge of history especially of WWII and The Great Depression. She adored her two cats: Little Boy One and Two.

Thanks are extended her caregivers from the Grane Hospice and Deanie Taylor King Agency.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at McKendree United Methodist Church, 3708 Delta Road, Airville, PA 17302. Interment will take place immediately following the service at Bryansville Cemetery. There will be a time to visit at the church one hour prior to the service. Her minister, Pastor Gary D. Allshouse will officiate.

Per Dorothy's final wishes- instead of flowers, memorial contributions are to be given to McKendree United Methodist Church, at the above address.
