EUGENE DAVID WAYBRIGHT, 65 of Darlington, MD, died on Saturday, September 21, 2024 in Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, Bel Air, MD. Married on June 2, 1979 to Callie Elizabeth (Patrick) Waybright, they were the first couple to be married in Franklin Baptist Church of Darlington, MD when the new building was completed. At the time of his death, they had shared 45 years of marriage.

Born on January 21, 1959 in Baltimore, MD, he was a son of the late Ernest Waybright and Bessie Marie (Price) Waybright and a 1977 graduate of North Harford High School in Pylesville, MD. Prior to retirement, David had been employed as a truck driver for T.C. Simmons and the State of Maryland. David was a fire fighter in his younger years at the Dublin Substation of the Darlington VFC. His hobbies included photography, fishing and model trains.

David loved people, loved to meet new people, visit friends/family and just enjoyed everyone's company. He was known to be quite a teaser – and could keep you on your toes. Upon hearing the news of having a grandchild when the family was made aware of the baby on the way, he enjoyed every moment of the last four years with his granddaughter. His family commented that they will miss his kind spirit and his love.
