EDGAR O. BARKER, age 91 years, died on Tuesday, October 28, 2008 in his home in Delta, Pennsylvania. He was the husband of Gertrude G. (Mullins) Barker who passed away on May 27, 2006.

Mr. Barker was born on July 19, 1917 in Keokee, Virginia; he was a son of the late Winfield Scott and Emmie Jane (Phillips) Barker. He began working at the age of fourteen as a coal miner and then worked as a stonemason and bricklayer. He was well known for his artistic stonework designs. He enjoyed collecting and selling antiques , glass bottles, and going to yard sales. Mr. Barker was a member of First Baptist Church of Delta.

Carol Hokemeyer and her husband, Tom of Holly Springs, North Carolina

Linda Gail Seitz and her husband, Barry of Dover, Pennsylvania

Jimmy J. Barker and his wife, Donna of Airville, Pennsylvania

Coy Edward Barker of Delta, Pennsylvania

Johnnie (Bobby) R. Barker and his wife, Teresa, also of Airville

Seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2008 from 6:00 - 9:00 PM at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, Pennsylvania.

The funeral service will be on Friday, the 31st at First Baptist Church of Delta, 629 Main Street, Delta, Pennsylvania with his pastor, Reverend John T. Davis officiating.

Interment will be in Bel Air Memorial Gardens, Bel Air, Maryland.
