EDITH ROSELLE LEONARD, age 92 years, was a daughter of the late James Douglas and Pauline (Miller) Douglas. God came to take her home on Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at Citizens Care and Rehabilitation Center in Havre de Grace, Maryland.

Edith was born on July 11, 1917 in the Rocks area of Harford County, Maryland, she was a resident of Aberdeen, Maryland. Edith was a devoted wife to the late Lewis V. Leonard and devoted mother to eighteen children. Edith had been employed at the former Bainbridge Naval Center in Port Deposit, Maryland and the former Whiteford Packing Company in Whiteford, Maryland. She was an avid Bingo player and enjoyed being surrounded by her grand, great grand and great-great grandchildren.

She leaves to cherish her memory:

She was preceded in death by a sister, Sarah Hawkins and children-Theodore Carter, Elanore Carter, Edith Leonard, Beverly Douglas, Joyce Soto, Shirley Robinson, James Carter and Kenny Leonard.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2009 at 11:30 AM at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, Pennsylvania.

Brenda Lewis will officiate.

Interment will be in Tabernacle Cemetery, Fallston, Maryland.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6 to 8 PM.

Pallbearers will be James Shue, Arthur Edwards, Robert Carter, Jason Delong, Garon Delong and Chris Hall.
