Edith D. McLaughlin, age 92 years, of Delta, PA died on Jan. 25, 2010 at Brightview Assisted Living, Bel Air, MD. She was the wife of the late Samuel McLaughlin who died in 1986.

Mrs. McLaughlin was born on Nov. 7, 1917 in Detroit, Michigan a daughter of thelate Robert J. and Bessie A. (McKinnon) Draper Sr. She retired in 1982 after 18 years working for Southeastern School District in the cafeteria. She was a member of Slateville Presbyterian Church since 1936 where she had taught Sunday School and served as a deacon. Edith was a member of Penn Mary Chapter #72 Order of the Eastern Star, Cardiff, MD. She loved to cook and travel and enjoyed flowers.

She is survived by a son S. Duane McLaughlin and his wife Ruby of Delta, PA

2 granddaughters- Melissa Lee McMillion and her husband William of Whiteford, MD

Carisa Michelle Reachard and her husband Jason of Aberdeen, MD

3 great grandchildren- Catlyn Marie and Jennifer Nicole McMillion and Nolan Douglas Reachard.

2 sisters- Margaret Hash of Kalispell, Montana

Hazel Thompson of Delta, PA

2 brothers- Robert Draper Jr of Belcamp, MD

Ralph Draper of Baltimore, MD.

Funeral service will be on Thursday, Jan. 28 at 11:00 Am at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main St., Delta, PA with her pastor Rev. Carletta Curley officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday, Jan. 27 from 6-8 PM. Burial will be at Slate Ridge Cemetery.
