EDWARD W. HARKINS, age 91 years of Forest Hill, MD, died on Monday, November 18, 2013 at Rock Spring Village. Born on January 13, 1922 on the family farm, he was a son of the late Norman and Bertha (Monks) Harkins.

Mr. Harkins entire lifetime was spent in agriculture. In addition to operating a dairy farm with his late brother, William, he was a longtime employee of Walters Mill in Forest Hill. Mr. Harkins was a member of Deer Creek United Methodist Church.

He is survived by:

A sister, Dorothy H. Sexton

Loving nieces and nephews

Addison Harkins

Hazel Laird

William Harkins

Wylie Harkins.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 24, 2013 at 3 p.m. at Deer Creek United Methodist Church, 2729 Chestnut Hill Road, Forest Hill, MD. A visitation with his family will be held one hour prior to the service.

Pastor Erin Totten will officiate with inurnment in the adjoining church cemetery.
