EMMA AMELIA YORK, age 90 years of Forest Hill, MD died on Sunday, February 12, 2012 at the Bel Air Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of Earl York who died in 1967.

Born on November 7, 1921 in Pylesville, MD, she was a daughter of the late Erdman and Virginia (Amos) Barton. A lifetime resident of Harford County, Mrs. York retired in 1987 after 25 years of service as a clerk typist for the State of Maryland. She attended Slate Ridge Presbyterian Church, enjoyed gardening and reading.

She is survived by:

A daughter, Nancy L. Patterson and her husband, Sam of Forest Hill, MD

Two grandsons-

Robbie Schroeder of Bel Air, MD

Tracy Cochran and his wife, Suzanne of Street, MD

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara V. Cochran-Simpson.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA where the funeral service will be held on Thursday morning at 11 a.m.

Interment will be in Slate Ridge Cemetery, Delta.
