Ernest "Ernie" Wesley Howard, 87, of Pylesville, MD died on October 25, 2008 due to complications from pneumonia. He was born September 18, 1921 to Herbert and Elizabeth Howard in Cockeysville, MD.

Mr. Howard was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in WWII. He was a member of Waverly Lodge 152 and the Boumi Temple where he was past commander of the Legion of Honor. During the 1960's, he was active president of the Jarrettsville Little League at Hess Field. An avid outdoorsman. he enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family and friends. He retired to Ocean City, MD with his late wife of 64 years, Mildred Howard.

Mr. Howard is survived by his son Douglas W. Howard and wife, Virginia Howard; 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grand children. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by one son, Ronald W. Howard.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2008 from 1-3 PM at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA.
