Esther Patsey McLaughlin, age 84 years formerly of Whiteford, MD died on Monday morning, April 30, 2018, at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore. She was the wife of the late James A. McLaughlin who died on December 19, 2012. Mrs. McLaughlin was born in Baltimore on March 17, 1934, a daughter of the late Raymond and Katherine (Williams) Morningstar. A homemaker, who along with her late husband of 60 years raised four children. She loved to dance and danced on her birthday this year. Mrs. McLaughlin also enjoyed roller skating, bowling and family barbeques, and picnics.

She is survived by four children:

James McLaughlin of Ocala, FL

David McLaughlin and his wife, Joyce of Ocala, FL

Katherine Gentila and her husband, David Vande Kieft of Fawn Grove, PA

Linda Cook and her husband, David of Glen Burnie, MD

Four grandchildren: Joshua Cook; David Katchuk and his wife, Candace; James Katchuk and his wife, Allison and Jennifer Burk and her husband, Michael.

She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.

Viewing will be on Thursday, May 3 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA.

Graveside funeral services and interment will be held on Friday, May 4 at 11:30 a.m. in Maryland Veterans Cemetery - Crownsville, 1122 Sunrise Beach Road, Crownsville, MD 21032
