EVERETT H. THOMPSON, age 81 years of Quarryville, Pennsylvania, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 19, 2009 at the Quarryville Presbyterian Home. He was the husband of Marian J. (Kilgore) Thompson who died in 1982.

Born in Laurel, Pennsylvania on August 14, 1927, he was a son of the late Charles Henry and Iva May (Zarfoss) Thompson. While living in York County, Pennsylvania, he raised potatoes on his own farm in New Park and retired from working for Chilcoat Farms in Stewartstown. He was a former board member of the Harford Christian School in Street, Maryland and moved to Lancaster County, Pennsylvania in 1980. He loved his Lord and farming.

Cynthia J. Thompson of Quarryville, Pennsylvania

Dorothy Throne of Arizona

Peggy Godfrey of Stewartstown, Pennsylvania

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Vernon L. Thompson, George W. Thompson Sr., Perry D. Thompson, Charles H. Thompson Jr., Christopher L. Thompson and John E. Thompson.

Visitation with his family will be held on Friday, January 23, 2009 from 10 - 11 AM at the Calvary Independent Baptist Church, 1225 Robert Fulton Hwy., Quarryville, PA 17566 with the funeral service beginning at 11 AM.

Interment will be in Fawn Grove Cemetery, Fawn Grove, Pennsylvania.

Pallbearers will be Carlton Telfer, David Chilcoat, Edwin Thompson, George Thompson, Jr., Bryan Wilson and Ronald Thompson.
