EZEKIEL H. MCCURRY, age 88 years, died on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 in his Darlington, MD home. He was the husband of Carrie B. (Elliott) McCurry with whom he had shared 68 years of marriage.

Born on October 25, 1925 in Burnsville, NC, he was a son of the late Tommy and Lou (Peterson) McCurry. A U.S. Veteran of WWII, he served in the Army's 69th Division 271st Regiment in Central Europe and Rhineland. During his service from 1943 – 1946, Mr. McCurry had received two Bronze Service Stars. Retiring in 1982, Mr. McCurry had worked for 30 years as a supervisor at Aberdeen Proving Ground.

Mr. McCurry was a member of New Beginnings Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Annabelle Fox of Essex, MD

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jennifer Gainey and a great grandson, Bradley Kuehne.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 15, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Trinity Free Will Baptist Church, 3414 Cedar Church Road, Darlington, MD where the funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. on Monday.

Interment will be in Harford Memorial Gardens, Aberdeen, MD. The pall bearers will be his grandsons: Christopher Felts, Glenn McCurry, Chad Gainey and Eddie Kuehne and his two great grandsons: Stone Felts and Bobby Otto.
