F. PIERCE GRAFTON, SR., age 83 years, of Forest Hill, Maryland died on Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, Maryland. He was the husband of Mary (Murray) Grafton for fifty-two years.

Mr. Grafton was born on November 9, 1924 in Scarborotown, Harford County, Maryland; he was a son of the late Charles N. and Ann Julia (Carr) Grafton. He was a life-long resident of Harford County, graduating from the former Dublin High School of Street, Maryland in 1942. He played semi-professional baseball during the 1940's. Mr. Grafton was a dairy farmer and member of the Harford County Farm Bureau and Soil Conservation Association. He also was a charter member of the Pine Tree Hunt Club of Galeton, Pennsylvania.

Christopher Hopkins, Robert Hopkins and Daniel Hopkins of Bel Air, Maryland

Joseph Grafton and Cathryn Grafton of Forest Hill, Maryland

Mary Zulty and Colleen Zulty of Jarrettsville, Maryland

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 14, 2008 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, Pennsylvania.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at noon at the Church of the Ascension, 3015 Dublin Road, Street, MD 21154.

Reverend Nick McDonald, Chaplain of Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, will officiate.

Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
