FLORENCE O. WURZBACHER, age 89 years, of Delta, Pennsylvania died on Thursday, March 27, 2008 at York Hospital in York, Pennsylvania. She was the wife of Ross Wurzbacher who died in 1985.

Mrs. Wurzbacher was born October 17, 1918 in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania; a daughter of the late Michael and Florence (Kliszcz) Opar. She lived in Baltimore, Maryland before moving to Delta in 1952. She worked as secretary at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds in Harford County, Maryland. She attended Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church in Fawn Grove, Pennsylvania and was of the Lutheran faith. She was an auxiliary member of the American Legion Post #182 in Whiteford, Maryland. She loved to read.

She is survived by:

Two sons-

Michael R. Wurzbacher and his wife, Mary;

John F. Wurzbacher and his wife, Vanessa, both of Red Lion, Pennsylvania

A sister, Helen Olsen of Fairfax, Virginia

Three grandchildren, one great grandchild

Numerous loving nieces and nephews

The visitation will be on Sunday, March 30, 2008 from 4 to 7 p.m at the Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, March 31 at 1:00 p.m.

Graveside services and interment will follow on Monday at 2:30 p.m. at the Oak Lawn Cemetery, 7225 Eastern Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland.
