FRANCES LEE BUTCHER CAVEY, 89 years of Delta, PA, formerly of Baltimore, died on Monday, August 3, 2015 at Transitions Health Care in Gettysburg, PA. She was the wife of the late Leonard B. Cavey.

Born on July 27, 1926 in Greensboro, NC, she was a daughter of the late Percy Clifton and Hessie Mae (Fitzgerald) Johnson. Retiring in 1987, Frances had worked for U.S. Filter for 18 years, as a crossing guard, taught reading through a literacy program and delivered Meals on Wheels. Frances attended the Delta Senior Center and was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Airville where she was a Sunday School Teacher. She will be missed by her loving family.

Eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her siblings- Frieda Preto and Barbara Johnson; step-siblings-Jimmie Johnson and Georgia Howard.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 14, 2015 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Middle River Baptist Church, 610 Middle River Road, Middle River, MD with the funeral service beginning at 7 p.m.

Pastor Glen Leatherman and Pastor George Jones will co-officiate.

Interment will be in Meadowridge Memorial Park, 7250 Washington Blvd, Elkridge, MD on Monday, August 17, 2015 at 10 a.m.
