Francis Kenneth "Butch" Shanahan, age 78 years of Princess Anne, MD died at Peninsula

Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, MD at 1:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 7, 2020. He

was the husband of Diane (Barton) Shanahan and they observed their 57 th . wedding

anniversary on June 2, 2020.

Mr. Shanahan was born in Baltimore, MD on March 8, 1942. He was a son of the late John E.

and Mildred (Shewell) Shanahan. A carpenter by trade, he was employed by Clark Turner

Homes in Belcamp, MD for 26 years prior to his retirement in 2008. A longtime resident of

Darlington, MD, he moved to Princess Anne in 2018. His favorite activity was spending time at

his Ocean City vacation home with his family and friends.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by;

Two children:

Michael James Shanahan of Princess Anne, MD

Terri Ann Adkins and her husband, Patrick of Ocean Pines, MD

He is also survived by seven grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

Mr. Shanahan was preceded in death by his children; Kenneth John Shanahan and Kristy Lynn

Jones and his two siblings, John E Shanahan and William J Shanahan.

Graveside funeral services and interment will be held on Wednesday, October 14th, beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Darlington Cemetery.
