GENEVA M. MAYES , age 73 years, of Street, Maryland, died on Tuesday, September 2, 2009 at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore. She had shared 55 years of marriage with her husband, Ivan L. Mayes.

Born on December 10, 1935 in White Top, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Elmer and Nannie (Wyatt) Taylor. She had worked for the former Bata Shoe Co. in Belcamp, Maryland, various sewing factories and was a daycare giver for children in her home for 32 years.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 4th from 6 to 8 PM at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, Pennsylvania.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, September 5th at 10:30 AM at the funeral home with her cousin, W. Earl Taylor of the First Baptist Church of Elkton officiating.

Interment will be in Bel Air Memorial Gardens, Bel Air, Maryland.
