IN LOVING MEMORY OF
George Frank
Eisner
June 20, 1935 – June 27, 2023
GEORGE FRANK EISNER, 88 of Whiteford, MD passed away in his home early on the morning of Tuesday, June 27, 2023. He was the beloved husband of Joan Marie (Peleska) Eisner, and they had shared nearly 48 years of marriage.
Born on June 20, 1935 in Perry Hall, MD, he was a son of the late August Walter Eisner and Ruth Leona (Henderson) Eisner and had worked for Carpenters Local Union #1354 of Harford County and Carpenters Local Union #101 of Baltimore. George was a hard worker and instilled this value in his children. He enjoyed mowing the yard, growing vegetables in the family garden, was an avid bird watcher and loved all types of "critters" always making sure they had food.
In the summer months, he enjoyed crabbing, fishing, boating, camping-pretty much all outdoor activities. He enjoyed traveling and when he turned 65, he retired, bought a motorhome and the traveling to "see something" began. He and his wife, Joan traveled extensively by maps throughout Canada and in more than 35 of the continental states of this country. A football fan, he followed the Baltimore Colts prior to their disappearance, then the San Francisco 49ers and finally admitting he was a closet New England Patriot fan.
George was the center of his family, always there for them, enjoyed treating them out for dinner and was known to share his time, talents and wisdom. He always insisted that the family gatherings were in his home and enjoyed having a house full of family members. His family remarked that he told the worst jokes, and gave terrible driving directions; however, they will cherish those memories forever. His incredible spirit will be missed.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by:
Three children-
George Richard Eisner (Maureen) of Havre de Grace, MD
Gary Dale Eisner (Tammy) of Sparta, NC
Nicole Marie Barthel (Clayton) of Pylesville, MD
Three grandchildren-
Gordon Eisner (Abby); Magan Medina and Jenna Eisner
Five great grandchildren-
Escher, Chole, Evelyn, Landon and Jaydance.
He was preceded in death by: his sister, Peggy Riechter; brother, August Walter Eisner and grandchild, Amber Rinker.
