Born on June 6, 1935 in the Woodbine area of York County; he was one of three children born to the late Archibald Newton Bair and Etta Mabel (Barnett) Bair. George also worked for 19 years as a mail carrier for the former Airville Post Office.
George was a lifetime member of Pine Grove Presbyterian Church where he was active in church activities, was known for his mashed potatoes at the annual turkey suppers and sang bass in the choir.
