GERALD DEAN DOWELL, SR., age 68 years of Havre de Grace, MD, died on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. He was the husband of Betty Louise (Comer) Dowell who died on May 5, 2004 and Ruth Ann (Bringar) Dowell who just passed away on February 8th.

Born on January 19, 1946 in Sparta, NC, he was a son of the late Woodrow and Martha Addie (Billings) Dowell and a longtime resident of Harford County. Working as a trim carpenter, he was known as an artist at his craft. Mr. Dowell owned and operated Trim R Us in the Havre de Grace area.

A Godly man, Mr. Dowell attended Higher Ground Worship Center in Darlington. He enjoyed serving his Lord through his guitar/music ministry and was known as a loving father, husband and grandfather.

Three grandchildren and seven step grandchildren

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 5th from 7 to 9 p.m. at Trinity Free Will Baptist Church, 3414 Cedar Church Road, Darlington, MD.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at the church with Reverend Duane Mullins and Pastor Mark Rudd co-officiating.

Interment will be in Highview Memorial Gardens, Fallston, MD.
