Gloria H. Halsey, 99, of Street, MD, died peacefully on May 6, 2023. She was one of eleven siblings, born in Harford County, MD, to her late parents, Robert and Georgianna (Beattie) Lloyd. She was the loving wife of the late W. Paul Halsey, Jr.

A loving and gracious woman, Gloria was a graduate of the former Slate Ridge High School. She and Paul were lifelong residents of northern Harford County, where they worked their family farm raising Polled Hereford cattle. Like Gloria, the farm was the center of the family. Gloria raised her family with love and attention. In addition to working their farm, she also operated a bus company with her husband, driving school bus for Harford County Public Schools. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing bridge with many friends in several different bridge clubs, gardening, being outdoors and traveling.

Faith was an important part of who Gloria was. She was an active member of Highland Presbyterian Church, serving as Elder and Deacon. She was also active in the women's circles at the church. She shared Christ like love with all those she met.

Gloria is survived by her children; Sherry Fullerton, Beth Halsey and Lorri Norris. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Trisha (Brian) Grubb, Melissa (Brian) Duncan, Michelle Fullerton and Paul (Kristle) Fullerton. Her great grandchildren; Sarah, Gavin, Ava, Karley and Kelsey will forever cherish her memories. All of her family still reside on the family farm.

In addition to her husband and parents, Gloria was predeceased by her siblings, nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Friday, May 12, 2023 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Highland Presbyterian Church, 701 Highland Road, Street, MD. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm at the church. Reverend Raymond R. Meute, Jr., pastor of Highland Presbyterian Church will officiate. Interment will immediately follow the funeral in the adjoining church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorial contributions are made to: Highland Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund at the above address.
