GRACE L. MYERS, age 98 years passed away peacefully with her family at the home of her daughter, Virginia on Thursday, February 28, 2013. She was the wife of Albert Melvin Myers who died in 1971.

Mrs. Myers was born in Prospect (Street), MD on July 16, 1914. She was the last surviving child of ten children born to the late James Harry and Hannah E. (Harvey) Thompson.

A seamstress, Mrs. Myers had worked at the former D&D Sewing Co. in Delta and retired in 1970 from the Tailor Shop at Bainbridge Naval Training Center in Port Deposit, MD after more than twenty years of service. She was a former resident of Cardiff, MD and for over 30 years lived at St. John's Towers in Havre de Grace, MD. For 15 years she served as a volunteer at Citizens Nursing Home.

Mrs. Myers was a lifelong member of the Delta United Methodist Church.

She is survived by four children:

Nancy Watson of Warren, RI

Virginia Demers and her husband, Rene of Glen Burnie, MD

Terry Myers of Lusby, MD

David Myers and his wife, Joann of Venice, FL

Also survived by ten grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 5 at 11:00 a.m. at the Delta United Methodist Church, 213 Main Street, Delta, PA 17314 with her pastor, Reverend Judith L. Walker officiating.

Interment will be in Bel Air Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m.
