GRACE MARIE OLINGER, age 80 years, of Darlington, Maryland, died on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, Maryland. She was the wife of Kermit Olinger with whom she had shared 62 years of marriage.

Born on May 30, 1931 in Conestoga, Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of the late Gentry Glen and Grace (Carr) Phipps. Mrs. Olinger was a homemaker and attended Franklin Baptist Church in Darlington, Maryland. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and was a caregiver to everyone.

Leroy Eugene Phipps and his wife, Beatrice of Forest Hill, Maryland

Elizabeth Ann Drumgoole and her husband, John of Westminster, Maryland

Paul Gentry Phipps and his wife, Debbie Settle of Darlington, Maryland

Six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Lee Olinger, brothers, Wesley Glen Phipps and Joseph Christian Phipps.

Visitations will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Franklin Baptist Church, 2104 Franklin Church Road, Darlington, Maryland.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 23rd at 1:30 p.m. at the church.

Her minister, Pastor Rick Wilson and Reverend Dr. John E. McKnight will co-officiate.

Interment will be in Darlington Cemetery, Darlington, Maryland.
