GRACE V. KENNEDY, age 78 years formerly of Darlington, MD died at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at the Forest Hill Health and Rehabilitation Center in Forest Hill. She was the wife of Philip Carman Kennedy, Jr. who died on November 6, 1998.

Mrs. Kennedy was born in Dublin, MD on April 21, 1937, a daughter of the late Eugene Foard and Alice Virginia (Motson) Rockey. She was a 1955 graduate of North Harford High School and worked for several years at the former D&D Sewing Company in Delta, PA. Grace retired in 1993 after thirty years employment as a supply clerk at the Aberdeen Proving Ground. She was a longtime member of the Franklin Baptist Church, Darlington, MD.

Walter H. Kennedy of Forest Hill, MD

Rachel M. Lynam of Aberdeen, MD

Loretta M. Walk of Abingdon, MD

One brother George Rockey of Street, MD

One sister Betty R. Young and her husband David of Mauldin, SC

She is also survived by four grandchildren, James, Donald, Jason and Eric, four great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Roger E. Kennedy, her brothers, Frank, Paul and William Rockey; her sister, Emma Rockey; her grandson, Jacob Walk and her great grandson, Zander Lynam.

Viewings will be held on Monday, March 28 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, March 29 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church, 3135 Dublin Rd, Street, MD 21154 where the funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. on Tuesday.

The pastor, Reverend Tracy J. Duvall will officiate.

Interment will follow the service in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, York, PA.
