HARRY GRAFTON LOWE, age 89 years, died on Thursday, April 2, 2009 in his home in Pylesville, Maryland. He was the husband of Daisy (Paules) Lowe for over 55 years.
Born in Pylesville, Maryland on October 20, 1919, he was a son of the late Henry Marsteller and Fannie Cleveland (DeVoe) Lowe. He was a lifetime resident of Harford County and had worked for the Harford County Government in the Public Works Division for 13 years, retiring in 1983. He enjoyed gardening, farming and spending time with family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by:
Two children-
Ruth Ann Smith and her husband, Ronald
Harry Ernest Lowe and his wife, Loretta, all of Pylesville
Two grandchildren
A brother, Rufus Lowe of York, Pennsylvania
He was preceded in death by his sister, Rebecca Ann Marcelle who passed away less than a month ago.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 6, 2009 at 11:30 AM at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, Pennsylvania with a visitation from 10:30 to 11:30 AM.
Reverend Melissa A. McDade of the Norrisville Methodist Charge will officiate.
Interment will be in Bel Air, Memorial Gardens, Bel Air, Maryland.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia Society of America, 298 South Progress Avenue, Harrisburg, 17109-9916.
Pallbearers will be Harry E. Lowe, Ronald Smith, Chris Smith, Adam Wilson, Ben Lowe and Dennis Collott.
