HARVEY P. POMRANING, age 71 years, of Delta, Pennsylvania died on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was the husband of Carol L. (Hopkins) Pomraning with whom he had shared 27 years of marriage.

Born on May 9, 1939 in Delta, Pennsylvania, he was a son of the late J. Leonard and Eva Kathleen (Johnson) Pomraning. Mr. Pomraning was a lifetime resident of Delta and a veteran of the United States Navy. Retiring in 1994 as a Line Foreman, he had worked for 34 years for PECO. Mr. Pomraning enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Kevin Player and Brandy Miller and her husband, Kevin Miller, Sr., all of Delta, Pennsylvania

Thirteen grandchildren-Heather Hicks, Michael Smeltzer, Michelle Steurnagle, Melissa Hart, Josh Wire, Christina Wire, Jeffrey Player, Jr., Brandon Player, Willow Koger, Jonathan Player, Joslyn Webb, Jared Webb and Brianna Webb.

Six great grandchildren

A sister, Norma Jean Eichelberger of Airville, Pennsylvania.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, Pennsylvania.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, the 6th at 11 a.m. at New Covenant Community Church, 284 Slab Road, Delta, Pennsylvania with Reverend Lanny D. Kilgore officiating. Immediately following the service, military honors will be presented by the York County Veterans Honor Guard.
