Hazel Henrietta Gilley, age 62 years of Pylesville, MD died on Wednesday, June 29 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center. She was the loving wife of Richard A. Gilley. They would have been married for 45 years this August.

Mrs. Gilley was born on Dec. 7, 1948 in Forest Hill, MD a daughter of the late Henry Herbert and Jeanette (Hines) Bennett Sr. Hazel enjoyed taking care and spending time with her family. She had been employed as a secretary at Aberdeen Proving Ground before she started raising her sons.

In addition her husband she is survived by 7 sons- Richard A. Gilley Jr. of York, PA - Christopher M. Gilley Sr. of Parkville, MD - Scott B. Gilley of Bel Air, MD - Matthew B., Ryan H. and Nicholas H. Gilley all of Pylesville, MD and Patrick J. Gilley of Port Deposit, MD

12 grandchildren

2 sisters- Margaret J. Jones of Street, MD and Shirley A. Payne of Forest Hill, MD

2 brothers- Harold J. Bennett of Forest Hill, MD and Charles V. Bennett of Street, MD

She was preceded in death by a brother Henry H. Bennett Jr.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 2 at 2:30 PM at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main St., Delta, PA with Pastor Blake Ward of Great Commission Church of the Nazarene officiating.

Visitation will be from 1-2:30 PM prior to the service.

Burial will be at Slate Ridge Cemetery.
