HELEN H. SANDERS, age 88 years, of Delta, Pennsylvania died on Saturday, August 11, 2007 in Lorien at Riverside Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Bel Camp, Maryland. She was the wife of Charles G. Sanders who died on November 30, 1983.
Mrs. Sanders was born on September 22, 1918 in Dublin, Maryland a daughter of the late Fulton P. and Lorena C. (Day) Haines and was a lifetime resident of the northern Harford County, Maryland and southern York County, Pennsylvania areas. Mrs. Sanders worked as an inspector during WWII in Ohio and at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds in Harford County, Maryland. After taking an early retirement, she was a homemaker. She enjoyed taking care of her three children, spending time with her family and reading. She enjoyed traveling with her cousins, Priscilla Knight and Bill Walker.
She is survived by:
Two daughters-
Lorena Blevins and her husband, Tim of Citrus Springs, Florida
Dorothy Sanders and her life partner, Alvin Perrine of Delta, Pennsylvania
Two granddaughters-
Angie Kittelt and her husband, Eddie of Airville
Alexandra Blevins of Florida
Three great grandchildren-
Tori, Charlie and Sarah Kittelt, all of Airville, Pennsylvania.
She was preceded in death by a son, Harry F. Sanders on July 27, 1983 and a sister, Elizabeth Haines who died in 1930.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at 2:00 PM in her home, 250 Dooley Road, Delta, Pennsylvania with Pastor Jim Johnson of Dublin United Methodist Church, Street, Maryland officiating.
A private inurnment will be held at Dublin Southern Cemetery, Darlington, Maryland.
