HERBERT A. LUX, age 90 years, of Pylesville, Maryland died on Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, Maryland. He was the husband of Mary C. (Quinn) Lux who died on November 2 2003.
Mr. Lux was born on May 9, 1917 in Baltimore, Maryland; he was a son of the late Peter and Margaret (Hoffman) Lux. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in WWII, and a lifetime member of the VFW Post #8672 in Jarrettsville, Maryland. He moved to Harford County from Arbutus in 1965, and during his career as an oil burner/sheet metal technician, he had worked for various oil companies. He was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Parish. Mr. Lux enjoyed tinkering on the family farm.

A son, James V. Lux, Sr. of Pylesville, Maryland
Six grandchildren-
Jamie Lux of Baltimore, Maryland
James Lux, Jr. of Pylesville, Maryland
Jenna Arevalo of Abingdon, Maryland
Quinn Lux, Steven Ukura and Sue Biedronski, all of Pylesville.
Six great grandchildren
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Johanna Ryan and a grandson, Scott Ukura.
Visitations will be held on Sunday, February 17, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, Pennsylvania with a Christian Wake Service beginning at 3:30 PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 10 AM at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Parish, 1021 St. Mary's Road, Pylesville, MD 21132.
Reverend A. Henry Kunkel, III will be the celebrant.
Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Mary's Building Fund at the above church address.
