Howard Francis Shoul Jr. "Sonny," age 94, of Baltimore, Maryland, passed away peacefully at home on December 13, 2025.

Born and raised in Baltimore, Sonny was a man who found his greatest joy in the simple pleasures of life and the people he loved most. He had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and spent many happy hours hunting, fishing, and tending to his garden. A proud Baltimorean, he also loved cheering on his favorite teams—the Baltimore Ravens, the Orioles, and the Terps. Above all else, Sonny cherished time spent surrounded by his family, whose love and presence meant everything to him.

Sonny was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Diane Martino.

He is survived by his son, Francis "Butch" Shoul and his wife Beverly; his son-in-law, Mike Martino; his grandchildren, Howard Shoul, Lauren Brooks and her husband Bradley Sr., Kayla Lochary and her husband Justin, Kelly White and her husband Alex, Wayne Coburn, and Breanna Kuhlmann and her husband Jerod; and his great-grandchildren, Bradley Brooks Jr., Addison Brooks, Bentley Brooks, Isaac Lochary, Hannah Lochary, Leah Lochary, Emma Kuhlmann, and Jack Kuhlmann.

Sonny will be remembered for his warmth, his steady presence, and the love he gave so freely to his family. His legacy lives on through the many generations who were fortunate enough to know him, learn from him, and love him. He will be deeply missed and forever held in the hearts of his family.

Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
