ISAAC C. LYCETT, age 84 years, died on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 in his home in Delta, Pennsylvania. He was the husband of Sara (Finnegan) Lycett and the late Mary Louise Newell Lycett.
Born on October 3, 1927 in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of the late Isaac Cate and Caroline Beaumont (Limerick) Lycett. A graduate of the McDonogh School of Baltimore, he continued his education at Haverford College in Haverford, Pennsylvania graduating in 1949. Mr. Lycett served his country in the Navy during WWII. He was an owner/operator of Downs in Baltimore, an engraving and stationery manufacturer until 1996 when he retired and sold the business. Mr. Lycett was a member of Old St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Baltimore, Maryland.
Mr. Lycett served as a volunteer at the Baltimore Area Convention Visitor Center in the Inner Harbor of Baltimore since 1976 and served on the Delta Borough Council in his local town. He enjoyed fly fishing, reading, gardening and mowing the pasture with his tractor on his home farm. He was very fond of traveling and had visited almost all 50 states and six continents. In his younger years, he embarked on an adventurous trip to Alaska before the major roads were excavated. Mr. Lycett was known to have a great sense of humor, and his family remarked he was just fun to be with.

Seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren and four step grandchildren
A brother, The Reverend Horace Abbott Lycett of Denver, Colorado
A sister, Caroline Beaumont Felton of Hartford, Connecticut
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Old St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 300 North Charles Street, Baltimore, Maryland.
At the conclusion of the service, a reception will be held at the Tremont Hotel, located next door to the church on St. Paul's Street from 11 a.m. to noon.
Inurnment will follow in Druid Ridge Cemetery, 7900 Park Heights Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland.
