ISABEL FRANCES FOX NIMMO, age 85 years, of Bel Air, MD died on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at Hart Heritage Estates of Forest Hill. She was the wife of Thomas G. Nimmo who died on November 30, 2002.

Born on February 19, 1925 in Warrenton, VA, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Mildred (McClanahan) Fox. Following her graduation from Mary Washington College, she moved to Harford County in 1947 and began her career as an English teacher at Havre de Grace High School where she taught for many years. After retirement, Mrs. Nimmo served as a substitute and long term substitute in the North Harford area schools. She was a member of the Holy Cross Episcopal Church, Street, MD and the Maryland State Retired Teachers Assn.

She is survived by:

Frances Ellwood and her husband, Jim of Bel Air, MD

Cary Nimmo of Street, MD

Six grandchildren-Ashley Trent Jackson, Tammy Saulsbury. A.J. Nimmo, C.J. Nimmo, D. J. Nimmo and Madison Nimmo.

She was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Sidney Nimmo and a granddaughter, Amy Renee Trent.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Episcopal Church, 4603 Rocks Road, Street, MD 21154 with the vicar, The Reverend Susan Shellman Baer officiating.

Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.
