Jady B. Stone, age 81 years, of Delta, Pennsylvania died on Sunday, March 23, 2008 at York Hospital in York, Pennsylvania.

Mr. Stone was born on August 29, 1926 at Comers Rock, Virginia; a son of the late Lester K. and Myra M. (Hale) Stone.

He was a member of Slateville Presbyterian Church for over 65 years where he had served as a trustee. Jady served in the United States Army Air Force during World War II. He was a life long entrepreneur; in addition to owning a farm in Delta.

He built, owned and operated Jady's Drive-In Restaurant from 1960 - 1984. In 1963, he added a swimming pool and club, and a car wash in 1970. After he sold his business in 1984, he worked for Montgomery Ward at the Bel Air, Maryland location as a salesman from 1985-87. Jady pursued a new career in 1990 when he went to real estate school and became an agent for Colton Century 21 Realty in Shrewsbury, Pennsylvania. He retired in 2003, from Bob Yost Coldwell Banker Realty.

He is survived by:

A niece, Bonnie Hushon of Delta, Pennsylvania

A nephew, Terry Stone of Winterstown, Pennsylvania

A foster son, Dr. Charles Roman of Columbus, Georgia

He was preceded in death by his brother, L.K. Stone in 2005

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 26 at 2:00 PM at Slateville Presbyterian Church, 308 Slateville Road, Delta, Pennsylvania.

His pastor, Reverend Carletta Curley will officiate.

Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday evening from 7-9 PM.

Interment in the adjoining church cemetery with military honors will be presented by the York County Veterans Honor Guard.
